Hello there. Im a bit lost on how, in ableton, I could use the new sensor expansion feature in the 2.8 update (if it is even posible). Also some doubts from your manual in general.

I have the Evans Portal and a EVO 16 by Audient.

**In the standalone app:**

- Read in the manual that “Expansion channels are for sensor inputs only. Analog inputs can’t use them.” Does this means I CANT use the mic/line for recording audio (with the analog inputs) but I CAN use them for using a V1 sensor, give it 48v, and use it, right?

> **[Using the extra inputs - Sensor Expansion (Second Portal) | Sensory Percussion...](https://help.sunhou.se/v2/software-overview/hardware-panel/sensor-expansion/#using-the-extra-inputs)**
>
> Connect a second EVANS Portal to get seven more sensor inputs. The second Portal is used only for sensors: it has no audio outputs in Sensory Percussion, and your main interface keeps handling all audio. | Connect a second EVANS Portal for seven more...

-Could I use the EVO 16 inputs, feed 48v to a V1 Sensor and use it as an extra sensor, right?

-Best bet is to set the EVO 16 as main and the Portal as the sensor expansion?

**In the ableton plugin:**

-Evans portal should be the device for ableton right? I now also see a “Evans portal 2” in my devices, what is that? I also saw that in the control panel as ASIO1 and ASIO2, would like to know how it works.

-I see there are more inputs you had 12 before, now I see 16 ins and 16 outs. Im guiding myself from your guide:

> **[5. Select the input channel for your Sensor inputs - How To Use the Ableton...](https://help.sunhou.se/v2/how-to/ableton-plugin/#5-select-the-input-channel-for-your-sensor-inputs)**

> Because of the way routing works with the plugin, the input channel names in the plugin are a bit different than in the standalone app. Use the table below to route your inputs to the plugin. | An overview of using the Sensory Percussion 2 VST plugin...

What would be those 4 extra chanels then?

How could I use both cards in ableton (if possible) and what would be the routing for its Ins and Outs?

I know thanks to to your update that I can use both interfaces and record straight from the standalone app and that I could record the inputs, then import in the ableton plugin template, and also get the extra recorded channels from my EVO, which is cool, but would like to know if it is posible to do so while directly in ableton.

Thanks!
