I’ve been having some issue with my Ludwig maple classic hoops making the sensors tilt too far downward. I wonder if these risers would raise them too high off the drumhead ?

Yeah, we’ve seen these before on the internet, but haven’t tried them in person. If you attach the sensor to that thing it will be too far away from the pickup element on the drumhead and the signal will be too weak.
There might be other ways you can fix your hoops though. Have you tried loosening the lug next to the sensor, sometimes that gives it just enough extra room to sit level and can still work reliably.
