2.5.0-beta6 just released

Hi all, we just pushed out 2.5.0-beta6 on the beta channel.

This release includes some really nice updates. We have a brand-new Library with a refreshed layout, search and filtering, a new info box, and tags. In the Edit View, you’ll find a new right-side panel for navigating the active set–we have a lot planned for this space and this lays the foundation.

And finally, we have a new Export Pack feature that packages up your session into an installable .spz file, just like the Sunhouse packs. Lots of other improvements and fixes throughout the app.

- Added library search and filtering
- New library info box 
- Added tags, which can be assigned at the session, set, and module level
- Edit session metadata like tags, description, etc. from the File menu
- New right-side panel called 'Set View' in the Edit view for navigating the active set
- Export sound packs feature produces an spz file
- Added FX Send parameter to several effects modules
- Added 'octave' option to scale presets in Pitch & Scale panel
- You can now drag a module onto onto hardware inputs to add input filters

- Reduced the default monitoring level in the library from 0 to -12dB
- Make the 'reset all training' button more visible in the training page 
- Show a warning when the max training hits is reached
- Show a new warning when a user tries to overwrite an already-installed sound pack

- Prevent a possible crash at exit
- Prevent showing "no hint" messages in the hint bar

Nice! So does this mean users can share their sessions? It would be great if we can have a user created section in the SW.

That’s exactly what it means! The new export pack feature generates a .spz just like the Sunhouse pack uses and once installed it will go in a new User Packs section of the library. Give it a try and let us know what you think!

Hello,

Where is the new User Pack section in the library? I am on 2.5. I don’t see it. Also, is this only my local user packs or would all of the SP community have a shared section where we can share packs.

I think this would be amazing. I would love to play with other community published packs. Thanks. :slight_smile:

Hi @SomaSays - the new section in the library will show user packs you’ve installed. We hide the section until you’ve installed your first pack.

We’re going to be posting some stuff to the Sound Packs category
on this forum soon and encourage users to do the same.
