The standalone alpha app doesn’t ever launch. The beta has path errors and constantly tries to get me to update even though I’m already updated.
Steps to fix:
New beta installation
New alpha installation
Downloaded a fresh template for Ableton

Hi Chris,
Whoah, never seen these issues before. How’d you manage that!? Just kidding.
I’d suggest just starting completely fresh – You won’t lose any sessions or data by following these instructions. But you will have to log into the app again with your credentials.
Go to the folder ~/Library/Application Support/Sunhouse
and delete any folders in there. You should see a folder called “Sensory Percussion 2” and “Sensory Percussion 2 Beta”. To get to the folder, open up finder and hit shift-cmd-G
and paste in that path above. Make sure you include the ~.
Delete any plugins. From your video the plugin instance says 2.1.6, so its not getting updated, which is why you keep seeing that popup. Go the folder: /Library/Audio/Plug-Ins/VST3
and delete any sensory plugins you see there. This time there is no ~ in the path.
Delete any .app files from your Applications folder. You might see Sensory Percussion.app and Sensory Percussion 2 Beta.app
Go to https://sunhou.se/downloads and redownload the latest (2.4.2). Maybe don’t start with the beta.
Open the app and go to the General tab in the settings window and re-install the Plugin (there’s a button you need to click).
Re-open Ableton and Re-scan plugins in the settings window.
If you want to use the beta you can reinstall it and install the plugin in the same way. (There’s not currently anything new on the Beta Channel).
Let me know how it goes!
