Hi All,
New user here. It’s been mostly a smooth setup, but I can’t save my session working inside of Ableton. I can only “Save As”, which is a pain if I don’t want a bunch of versioned files. Is this normal? Am I missing something?
I did try making some changes and closing the plugin to see if it would auto-save, but no luck.
Thanks!
Hi @Stefan_G,
Here is more info on why “save” is disabled in the Sensory Percussion 2: "Save Session" / "Save Inputs" Ableton Plugin - #2 by stevenz
Essentially, most “save” actions are deferred to the Ableton session when you are using the Sensory Percussion 2 plugin. Whenever you save the Ableton session, the plugin state gets saved: including the work you’ve done inside the plugin.
But it’s not a bad idea to “save as” in the plugin. I’m personally a big fan of saving incremented versions of my sets so that I can track my progress and potentially revert or compare versions: but that requires somewhat methodical file-naming
