Hi is there a way to stop my snare center and edge from triggering the cross stick sound?
I’ve done the training 3 times and when im on kits like the bebop kit it inscently miss triggers.
Its an 14” rtom mesh head on a single headed drum.
On the the more conventional kits is there a way to have less zones? Often things mis-trigger or be a sound that wouldn’t be necessary.

If you are using an RTOM Black Hole (the kind that sits on top of the drum - attached to the rim - with an acoustic head already installed underneath), then you may only be able to get three or so zones. I’ve messed around with one of those a bit, and I was only able to get center, edge, one rim zone, and stickshot to reliably work. The sensor is designed to attach and function best with standard drum rims.
So if you’re using one of their standard LV Mesh Heads, then you should be able to get a good result. I’ve never used one myself, but it looks like it’s a pretty normal single-ply mesh head with a sound patch.
Make sure it’s tuned nice and tight and the sensor angle is correctly parallel over the pickup element. Then reset your training for the entire drum and start by training only the first five zones: center, edge, rim tip, rim shoulder, and cross stick.
Then check to see if your drum is responding correctly. If it’s not, add some training to the zone that is misfiring in precisely the way that it is misfiring.
Once it is responding correctly to those zones - if you want to - feel free to add training to the other zones, checking your training along the way.
