Cymbal stand thread too small?

All my cymbal stands seem to have too small a thread to screw on the sensors. Anyone else have that problem? And how did you solve it (other than buying new hardware)?

I have a Sonor Stand with a 6mm thread and a Tama HC52F Classic Stand with 8mm but maybe the screw part is too short.

Cheers, Robert

Hey, i’ve had the same issue with the classic Tama hardware. I switched to old stands i had laying around. The only downside is that they now need more floor space. Cheers

I used Teflon tape (spanish speaker here, dont know if that is correct) because I had the same problem haha. It works, a little bit loose but still works.

Would love to know from sunhouse @tenoch what hardware do they tested it, so I dont buy some hardware in the future with the same issues. Teflon will have to do for now.

I also tried sonor stands at first and they did not work out. then I recently tried Gibraltar or something like that with great success.

I don’t know what they tested on, but you’ll need an 8mm thread with a long enough rod. I ended up getting Tama HC42S. They work fine.
