I’m using a Roland KT-10 routed via a MIDI module to the Evans Portal. The signal is coming through, but it’s unusable—it overloads the sample I’m trying to trigger.
Does anyone have an idea how to fix this? Any tips are welcome!
Can you give us a bit more info about your setup? Are you connecting the KT-10 to Sensory Percussion via USB and sending MIDI through the module, or are you using a 1/4" audio cable connection to the Portal?
Depending on what you want to use it for, it might be easiest to connect the KT-10 directly via 1/4" to one of the XLR combo jacks on the Portal and add it as a sensor input.
Thanks for your response. Connecting it directly to the input of the Portal didn’t work that well, so I connected it to my Nord Drum 3P and used it via MIDI instead. That caused some clipping, but I think it was related to the specific session or plugin. I’m now using it in another session, and it works great! So this topic can be closed
