I wanted to check here and see if anyone has installed the pickup element onto a Roland or DWe Mesh? I have a “hybrid” mismatched kit with both types of shell triggers and mesh brands along with rubber cymbals. My main interest in getting the SP2 system was for the cymbals to replace all my rubber cymbals but I figured why waste the sensors and the other capabilities of the SP software….
I am wondering if I could just installed the sensors onto my kit and just lower the volume of my Roland module and play (trigger) the portal although I am not using Evans mesh heads. If this works I may just add the outputs of both the portal and my module to a mixer and mix both sources into my headphones.
