When the hardware is working correctly, you should get a very responsive and dynamic playing experience. So my guess is there’s an issue with your setup that we need to work through.
Regarding your other questions - yes, you can definitely blend between zones, just like on drums. That part of the software works the same. Here is some more info on how to use blends, but please let me know if you have something else in mind.
Thanks for the feedback on the “Adjust Pedal Tension” setting. We’ll put together some more resources for that. It’s really a tool to be able to dial in where the open/close cross over is so that your physical setup matches with our presets. Every hi-hat gets setup slightly different depending on how you place your clutch, etc. So we need this setting to accommodate for that.
