I want to record some drum tracks using my full SP2 kit to send MIDI informations to AddictiveDrums2 in Logic Pro. I use the SP2 to SD3 template that I found in this forum. Everything works pretty well, but the hihat… actually the cc information seem to be weird cause I can’t have hihat openings when I’m playing. If I try to play open hihat slowly and beside the real playing, it works. but if I do it meanwhile I play, it just don’t work… too bad. It works pretty well within SP2 but not in AD2. So I have to record with my old TD15
Same. And it seems to work bette in SD3. I don’t get why it works in SD3 and not AD2. I’d love to understand, what the problem is, and how the hi-hat to midi mapping actually works. It would be great to get a tutorial video from Sunhouse…
Hey all, we have some updates in the works that will improve hi-hat and cymbal choking for SD3 and other apps. We know it’s not quite right at the moment. This is really an issue of translating our internal engine to MIDI. These changes are still working their way through our pipeline, but we expect to have them available to try out on the beta channel pretty soon. I can post a notice here when that happens. Thanks!!
I know this video but the problem with MIDI cc from SP is that if you hit the hihat when you open it SP send not the information « open ». You have to hit it a 2nd time, then it send it correctly. It’s a problem when you want to play a « bark » with the hihat.
Hopefully Tenoch said that they are working on it, so we may have a solution in the next future !
