Hey all, quick technical question about the Portal’s analog inputs.
Does anyone know if the rear TRS line inputs actually bypass the preamp entirely, or are they just padding a line-level signal down into the same preamp circuit as the combo inputs?
I noticed there’s no gain knob on the rear inputs, which makes me think they might be a true line-level path, but I haven’t been able to find any info on the actual circuit design. Would love a definitive answer if anyone from Sunhouse or someone who’s dug into the hardware knows for sure.
