Problem with loud cracks and pops + lose jacks at the interface

Deal all,

i just bought a Sensory Percussion 2 and I’m having a problem with loud cracks and pops with the audio on Win11. The computer is really strong so there is barely 5-10% of CPU usage at 32 samples and even if I put it at 2048 samples I doesn’t disappear. Memory is also barely at 20%.

When I turn on Ableton and select EVANS Portal as a device with it’s drivers and I turn on test signal I can hear pops and cracks here and there over the test signal, and I don’t have that when I use ASIO4ALL for example.

Also I tried to connect my RME UCXII as a sound card and then all the clicks and pops disappear.

Do I maybe have a faulty Portal or maybe drivers are issue?

I updated all drivers, graphic card and I don’t know what, but it still doesn’t work. Also some of the sensor inputs are really lose on the Portal and there is a lot of fake fires if I touch the cables, should I ask for a new Portal? I can already see a topic with the similar problem.

All the best

So after three days of debugging I found the problem - the problem was in drivers of my Wi-Fi card that was causing disruptions in wdf01000.sys process that handles drivers for Win11.

You just have to turn off the Wi-Fi card in Device Manager when you are using Sensory Percussion software. I don’t know why my RME drivers and other drivers are less sensitive about this problem, but it seems that Portal driver is a bit more sensitive to it.
