Quantize Pitch Possible w sent MIDI?

So I want to use SP’s quantize pitch function like in the video from this post:

but to control a synth plugin in Ableton instead of SP samples. Is this possible? Or does Quantize pitch function only work on audio samples internally in SP (or SP plugin) ?

You can’t use the quantize feature with MIDI out. But I think you can just create a MIDI knob (CC) and assign a controller to it (speed, timbre, velocity) and then use MIDI Effects in Ableton to transform the CC message to get the same effect.

I’m not really an Ableton expert in that regard, but I think you should be able to get the result you want doing something like that.
