Hi!
Quick question. I’d like a tom to play a sample on channels 1 and 2. Then, I’d like that same tom to play the same sample on channels 5 and 6. But I’d like this to happen very quickly, without changing to another theme.
I thought about using a sequencer, but that doesn’t work because the sequencer only sends to one mix bus.
Maybe using two sequencers synchronized by the same trigger would be a solution? But I guess it’s a bit of a mess…
If someone as a simple idea with this, I’m up.
Hope I’m being clear enough; my English isn’t perfect…
Depending on what you want to do I would nest two groups, samplers or hit controllers inside of a sequencer, and route each of those groups separately. Set up the parent sequence to alternate but you can nest almost anything inside a sequencer, including another sequencer
We do have plans to add sub-module sub-mix routing, at least 1 level down from the layer level. But, until then, you can always use sends. Create two copies of your sample and have each sending to a different send. Then you can sequence the samples and the sends can be routed to sub-mixes. Just dont forget to mute the samples in the submixes.
OK thanks.
Sorry, I was talking about sub-mixes yes.
I think I have my answer here, I simply didn’t think about the send option..!
Really looking forward to a sub-moduke sub-mix routing, would make this kind of thing super easy and even more fun !
Thanks for your quick answers guys.
Appreciated.
Hi there. @Tlacael_Esparza , I’m starting to work on some multichannel pieces, and I’m wondering if these sub-module sub-mix routing things are still in the dev’ ideas. That would be a blast !
hi @LeMouton good timing! We just released a beta with this feature. You can now send layers one level down to submixes from the Mix page. Check it out here: 2.6.6-beta7 just released
