Is it possible to run two 7-input portals at the same time? I want to run one portal for drums and one for cymbals in a live, touring, setting.
Hi @BillyG The Sensory Percussion software can currently only work with a single input/output device at time. So there’s not native, officially-supported way to use two portals at this time.
That being said, if you’re on a modern mac, in theory you should be able to create an aggregate audio device to combine two portals into one new device. So from SP’s perspective it would still be using a single device.
Aggregate devices do add latency – so keep that in mind. Also, please note that we have NOT tested this approach and would not recommend it for anything mission-critical (stage use?) without really extensive testing. But if you’re willing to experiment, it might be worth a try.
