I recently played a gig with a set up consisting of one SP1 sensor on a tom + acoustic drum. Every time I trigger one sample while playing with the rest of the kit, although there is no choking applied to any zone, it stops. If I trigger it alone, it plays until ti end.
I trained the tom with 4-5 zones and I trained void too, what am I missing out?
I have an idea of what could be happening, but if this doesn’t fix the issue for you feel free to start a chat on our website or write an email to support@sunhou.se. It would be helpful to see a video of the issue, and to send a diagnostic report.
I think the issue could be that there some crosstalk happening from other drums, triggering a very low volume version of the sample (and activating the “retrig” of the sampler, so it sounds like there is choking happening, but it’s actually playing a very quiet version that has usurped the previous voice).
You can check the threshold panel while that kit is loaded and see if a low velocity hit is registering when you strike a different drum.
Once you’ve confirmed this, it’s possible you can fix it right there on the threshold panel, by raising the dotted red line above the cross talk. But, often this might cause an unwanted decrease in sensitivity in your other kits, and so likely the best place to fix this would be in the velocity I/O panel of the sampler itself.
