An SP plugin with full control of the software would streamline audio and midi routing and would let users apply their own audio and midi effects to SP sounds.
With that said, there are a lot of suggestions in the Feature Requests forum that I’d rather see first (e.g. UI refinements, full-screen mode, navigation hot keys). I would wager that developing a full featured plugin is no small task and that addressing bugs and latency issues in every DAW would require a lot of effort that could otherwise go to improving the standalone and audio streaming apps.
