Troubleshooting Cymbal & Hi-hat issues

Hey all, wanted to let you know that we pushed out version 2.6.2 today. It has lots of fixes and improvements to the cymbal and hi-hat models. Please give it a try and let us know what you think!

You can find the release notes here: What's new | Sensory Percussion 2 Help

You can download the software at https://sunhou.se/downloads or just open the app (maybe close/reopen if it’s already open) to get the in-app update.

Just wanna pop in and say I also adjusted my input and output gain to match my personal dynamic range, as well as maguyvering the goosneck and it fixed 90% of my false trigger issues. You really need to fine tune the settings WHILE playing to find the sweet spot.

@tenoch Thanks for the update. As you know I’ve been experimenting a lot using the cymbal sensors with normal acoustic cymbals. Since the update I’m noticing that the new model doesn’t recognise the edge “ping” zone as well as it did before on my acoustic ride and crash. It’s probably the least used zone so not a big deal but just wanted to feed this back to you.

With the latest SP2 version the hihat open closed action for me is worse… half open playing plays the closed articulation most of the time and fast playing is not possible since the pedal openess level indicator keeps jumping like crazy.

Just wanted to say that with 2.6.4 the cymbals are feeling and sounding great. Although I’m still getting open hi hat artifacts when stepping eighth notes. Anyone know a solution for this?

Im currently struggling with the hi hat tension settings. I have it optimized as best as I can figure out for now but I’m still getting some open sounding hit when I strike the edge of the hats from medium to hard hits. Anyone else experience this? Anyone have a fix?
