I am trying to transpose a sub. I have it set to the note I want but it immediately changes back to the root note that was originally selected. So I am unable to hear or make the change I would like. Any help is appreciated.

One reason why it might be going back to its original note, is if it has an assignment already on transpose. You can tell if that’s the case if it has a yellow line under the parameter:
If that’s what’s happening, there are two ways I can think of that you can make it work the way you want it to.
The first way would be just to remove the assignment. You can right click it and select “remove assignment”:
The second way is only if you want to keep the shape of the assignment that is already there (maybe the assignment sounds cool, but you just want it to happen in a lower or higher range). In that case you would right click the entire module, select “Group”, which encapsulates the module into a group, and then you can expose the Pitch & Scale panel on the newly made group and move the transpose knob to the note you want:
