Hey all, If its at all possible, I’m wanting to use 3rd party plugins, such as reverbs and delays, on individual zones. I gather that this is not possible within the standalone app, but is there a way of routing it within Ableton?
Yeah, you’re right—the standalone app doesn’t allow for third-party plugins on individual zones. But if you’re using Ableton, you can definitely route each zone to separate tracks and apply your own reverbs and delays.
One way to do it is:
Set up multiple audio tracks in Ableton.
Route each Sensory Percussion zone to a different track.
Load your favorite reverb or delay plugins on those tracks.
This way, you can have full control over each zone’s effects. Hope that helps! Let me know if you need more details.
Hey, thanks for the info. I’ve tried routing individual zones out of SP, but I’m a little bit tech illiterate, so I’m having some trouble.
In order to properly send each zone out separately, the only way I can think to do it would be to have a bunch of individual drum pads in the edit window, each enabling only 1 specific zone. For example; if I wanted to utilise kick open, kick closed, kick rim shoulder and kick rim tip, instead of using one ‘kick drum pads’ controller with all 4 zones within it I would need to have 4 individual ‘kick drum pads’ controllers, each with it’s own zone. That’s the only way I can imagine the routing would work within the mix window in SP. And if this is the only way to do it, it will get very confusing in terms of work flow when switching between sounds etc.
Is there a better way to do it? If so, I would love to know! If you or anyone reading this thread has a template inside ableton that has every zone as individual outputs I would be grateful to see how it is done.
Cheers! Tim
