Just tried to upgrade to 2.6.1. on Windows 10. When I start there is a brief spinning blue circle on the cursor - then nothing. It works on my other PC (Win11), but I have a dedicated PC for SP for a reason. Anyone else having this issue? When I go back to one of the January versions things work as usual (but obviously no good for cymbals). I’ve also tried running with Admin right, and still no luck. Beta version has same behavior.
Hope someone has a solution. I’m using a Win11 PC, went thru those exact steps with same results.
They fixed it for me today after a few rounds of debugging on their side. Reach out to support for a quick fix, or wait a few days for the update that fixes this issue.
Thanks for the reply and the heads up!
Cheers Ears,
~ Kevin
If anyone else on Windows experiences a startup issue, its likely the same cause as others here on this thread. We have a fix coming in the 2.6.2 update, but there’s an immediate fix you can apply by opening Command Prompt and pasting in this:
winget install Microsoft.VCRedist.2015+.x64
If you’re still having issues after this, write in to support@sunhou.se or start a chat on our site and we’ll figure it out.
That command prompt worked and I’m hearing my high hat. It’s on securely, getting latency and misfires but I’ll try to make some more adjustments. When I add an input for Cymbals there’s only an option for Mic/Line A-B and sensors 1 - 4. Sensors 5 - 7 aren’t available. I’ll see if it’s the same for my Macbook.
