*Can anyone explain what the “*analysis win (ms)” in Settings>General does? Is it to do with how quickly the software responds to received hits and tried to recognise training zones? I don’t remember this feature being there before version 2.6 (maybe it was….) and it’s not referenced in the manual.
I was trying to figure this out myself just yesterday. I asked ChatGPT
Analysis Window is how long Sensory Percussion listens to the audio of a drum hit before deciding what articulation you played and sending MIDI. A longer window gives the software more audio information, which improves accuracy and reduces mis-triggers, but it also adds more latency. A shorter window makes the system respond faster, lowering latency, but increases the chance of missed or misclassified hits. In short, it’s a tradeoff between speed (latency) and detection accuracy.
