I seem to see a lot of wooden rims in promotional videos…What’s the deal here? Is this an aesthetic choice, or do they actually trigger better? Cheers
They don’t trigger better. We just like the look of the wood rims. And on a mesh kit they are also easier on the ears. They don’t have the high frequencies that metal rims have…
Thanks Tenoch, I prefer the look too… not the price though, since they are mostly custom & expensive
But on a converted practice set, I would prefer a less harsh sound too.
