I’m having an issue with my Sensory Percussion setup during live performances. Whenever the XLR cables are touched, rattled by stage movement, or even jostled, they trigger sounds unexpectedly. I’ve checked the connections and made some adjustments to the Sensory Percussion settings, but the issue persists.
@tenoch Thanks for getting back to me so quickly. I am leaving on a UK tour on Tuesday. During the last run, we discovered that the cable triggered when it was touched or felt vibrations from the stage or sound system. I upgraded to Neutrik connectors.
I’m on tour and travelling quite a lot. Usually, we are doing throw-and-go shows at festivals. The wear and tear on the setup is pretty extensive. I travel with my own FOH, but they are usually making sure the front of house, monitors, and everything else are working. Stagehands do their best to help out, but because they haven’t had the opportunity to work with a sensory percussion setup, I’ve had to intervene because they’re being a bit rough on unplugging and moving the rig.
We fly quite a lot, with everything packed up in Pelican and SKB 6U rolling road cases. Even then, the wear and tear is always a concern.
Have any of your artists provided a travel solution to keep everything safe?
