Loop stops by using acoustic snare

Hey @swissdrummer,

Sorry to hear it’s still not working for you.

You can definitely assign a loop to a pad of a MIDI device instead, but it should also work correctly following the steps I outlined in your other post (Loops - Start / Stop) with the additional troubleshooting in this post.

Feel free to send an email to support@sunhou.se with a cell phone quality video of your setup showing the loop being triggered by your un-sensored acoustic snare

Since yesterday’s rehearsal, I’ve come to a new realization.
My problem has nothing to do with the acoustic snare, but is a sound transmission issue. In one experiment, I unplugged the mic from the acoustic snare, but when I hit the snare, it still turned off the loop. The sensors seem to be very sensitive to sound. What’s more, yesterday, when we were sitting on the couch discussing the band’s future strategies, the loop suddenly started without anything being hit or played. At first, we thought it was ghosts, since we were all just sitting on the couch. Strange. In my opinion, this is unacceptable. Maybe there are some possible solutions?

@swissdrummer,

Here is an article on how to use thresholds in the software to filter out cross-talk: Use Thresholding | Sensory Percussion 2 Help

Loops (and anything you don’t want triggering unintentionally) should always have a high threshold.

Yeah, its an option in the manual drum training.

Have you trained a void zone from your snare to the sensor triggering the loop? I use my sensors in punk and metal projects on venue sized stages before and was able to filter out with thresholds and void zones. It isn’t “unacceptable”, you need to learn how to dial them in like any e kit or triggers, it sounds like your sensitivity settings are way too low. Simple fix.
